FAQ

How does the Debt Management and Debt Consolidation Program Work?

Our Certified Credit Counselors will help to establish a budget that you’re comfortable with and capable of paying as well as work with within your creditors guidelines. ANH then establishes a payment plan that satisfies your obligations. At the same time you will be receiving information on a variety of financial topics that will make you more financially knowledgeable for your future.

What is Credit Counseling?

Credit counseling organizations offer a variety of financial information to the consumers such as budgeting and saving tools and also the proper use of credit cards. Credit Counseling organizations also have agreements in place with the major credit grantors whereby the credit grantors will relax interest rates and reduce minimum monthly payments in return for consistent repayment of debt by the consumer. This means that a consumer enrolled in debt consolidation credit counseling will pay less total money each month, but because of the lowered interest rates, a much greater portion of that money will go toward reducing the balances. It is a win-win situation for the consumer and the creditor.
